Tara Ana Finley, ISA, AM is the founder and president of Anubis Appraisal and Estate Services, a Miami, Florida based firm that provides appraisals and estate sale services for art, antiques, decorative items and personal property.   The company offers appraisal and auction consultation services for probate and estate attorneys, law firms, banks, insurance companies, real estate representatives, museums, universities, and corporate and private collectors.

She was an independent, on-air appraiser for the nationally -syndicated educational WGBH-TV series: “Chubb’s Antique Roadshow” since 1996-2003.

For over twenty – five years, Tara Ana Finley worked in New York City at major auction houses including Sotheby’s, Phillips Auctioneers and Christie’s as Director, Vice President and Auctioneer. At Phillips, she was the first woman to run a major New York City auction house. Ms. Finley directed the auction and sales of the specialist departments including furniture, paintings, prints, drawings, decorations, books, posters, tribal and antiquities.   While at Christie’s and Phillips, she was also Director of the Tribal Art and Antiquities Department, and formed the Collectibles Department at Phillips where she initiated the popular sales of Lead Soldiers and Military Miniatures.

Ms. Finley has earned an appraisal designation from the Appraisers Association of America Inc, is an accredited member of the International Society of Appraisers and has otherwise met education and experience requirements prescribed under treasury regulations.

In 2007 Tara Ana Finley was asked by the board of the Appraisers Association of America, Inc. to be the Southern Florida regional representative for Appraisers Association of America, Inc.

Ms. Finley worked at Bessemer Trust, N.A. in the Bessemer Services Division as special client service representative. From 1992-1996 she was the manager and personal art curator for a principal of the Adler Foundation, New York, New York.

Tara Ana Finley is a frequent speaker on arts-related issues and subjects at antique shows, historical organizations, museums and is an auctioneer for charitable events.  She has been the subject of feature articles in the New York Times, The Westport News, Vogue Magazine, Art and Antiques Magazine, Tribune Doral, The Art Gallery, Art Circuits Miami, Fl, Naples Daily News, The Miami Herald and is subject of biographical record in the Outstanding Young Women of America, 1980, Who’s Who of American Women, 1987-1988 for achievement in her career and expertise.
